Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Seen in muddy area with lots of wood debris along the bank of Clinton Lake in area way past its normal perimeter, north of the dam. Wooded area to the northwest, about 15' away. Looked black when it flew around. Flew very quickly and wouldn't stay put in any one particular spot for more than a second or two. The sun beating overhead along with the water's reflections picked up beautiful colors in its wings I can't normally see in a duskywing. Size: Approx. 1.75" wingspan. Weather: 89 degrees, approx. 50% humidity, clear sunny skies.
