Observation notes: Originally spotted as less than 1/4 in black caterpillar with black spikes. Approx. 8 weeks later caterpillar is about 1 inch long with white spikes with orange/red at the base of the spike. Gray/green with orange head, orangish with black head. Both have yellow horizontal bands with a black stripe down the center.
