Observation notes: Seen nectaring on sweetspire shrub (that was next to some salvia, purple smoke tree shrubs, & some globe arborvitaes) under a Copper River Birch tree near the koi pond at the garden center I work at. Pretty much stayed on the sweetspire and let me get very close to it. Size: From abdomen to wingtip about 1". Weather: 78 degrees, 75% humidity, cloudy skies.
