Observation notes: Dozens, possibly hundreds of caterpillars found in the Santa Fe Dam recreation area, all on ground or very low/crushed plants. Majority moving briskly but without uniform direction. Noted throughout day, from 9am to 7pm. None noted to be feeding or with a preference for plant(s) as possible host. Majority approx. 2" long, two specimens at 1.5" and one >3" noted.
