Observation notes: Diane saw these giving chase and saw them land in top of salt bush. We looked and noticed there was one of each male and female. Female was very fresh so we stayed around to watch even though they were quite high up. Poor quality Photo's try as we did they only flew off to a deep thicket of Mistletoe to hide from us in a mesquite tree! Bummer! late afternoon almost 5 pm. Last round walk about the campground! Saw several fresh individuals next day and lots of fresh growth on trees and Mistletoe also tons of nectar! Getting into the 100's in Desert! But these must love the heat and Mistletoe is growing like crazy and trees are just leafing out. seems Late?
