Observation notes: Was found on the blade of grass in the photo. The area was planted last fall with a wildflower mix and the flowers are just starting to sprout. The mix contains: Onobrychis viciifolia, Helianthus annuus, Linum lewisii, Cleome serrulata, Achillea millefolium, Lupinus argenteus ssp. rubricaulis, Gaillardia aristata, Vicia villosa, Melilotus officinalis, Phacelia campanularia, Oenothera pallida, Asclepias tuberosa, Asclepias speciosa, Solidato canadensis. Area also contains two types of mallow (a globe mallow and cheese weed) and dandelions. Sunny weather during the morning and then on/off clouds around the time the caterpillar was found. Mid 60's when found. Resting when found. Returned to grass after photo was taken.
