Observation notes: On this date, Green Cay Wetlands had dozens of healthy Coontie plants (partially eaten) with dozens of pupae, larvae and adults. Later, much of the foliage had been eaten so that the coontie plants looked stark and barren. However, the roots were quite large and capable of sustaining the plants for a long time.
