Observation notes: Sighted a loose cluster of 5 or 6 individuals coming down the west side of the Calavera Hills "Volcano", in northern San Diego County, among other local Whites, Metalmarks, and Duskywings. Roughly mid-day on a mostly cloudy day, and the wind near the top was cool and brisk. Nevertheless the flying insects were active today. This Orangetip held its ground long enough for me to get several still shots (none of them were very clear unfortunately), after interacting with another individual.
