Observation notes: A lovely fresh individual found in a rocky wash below the rim-rock. Seen in the proximity of several Amblyscirtes aenus. I first thought this could be a Polites rhesus due to the early flight date, but the yellowish ground color and white veins disrupting the dark patches are more suitable for Hesperia uncas. On the early side, but perhaps not out of the norm for such a lower elevation location in the extreme SE corner of the state.
