European Yellow Underwing
Noctua pronuba

Observation date: March 04, 2019
Date notes: This is as close as I could get to the time, but this is the date.
Submitted by: Terrashine
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I found this catipillar half frozen into the ice, and took him home, and warmed him up. I made him a terrarium, and would like to raise him up. He has been burrowing a bit if that helps. He has turned into a chrysalis under ground. The chrysalis is a reddish orange color and about a half inch to an inch long.
Status: Nonresident

Coordinator notes: Not sure, but think it's a European Underwing. Curious if it hatched and you were able to ID the adult. Cutworms are real difficult.
