Observation notes: On a sow thistle. The sun had just come out after a cold, windy day in the high 30's. American Ladies were out, but this one doesn't have the white spot or the spot pattern on the submarginals. I didn't get to see it closed. Henbits and Wind flowers were near, but mostly a lot of sow thistle. Taken in Hays county
