Observation notes: The butterfly was found dead on the sidewalk in my front yard, near my frost-free hibiscus (Hibiscus moseheutos 'Ruby Jewel'). I am not suggesting this butterfly was visiting the Hibiscus sp., just noting this flower was the closest to where the butterfly was found.

Coordinator notes: As we discussed....previously recorded from Prowers County a long time ago as mentioned. The species should be graphica....I forget since its not a resident species and I don't think of it often (Phyciodes graphica vesta). Mike
