Observation notes: Saw approximately 10 of the blue butterflies throughout the day's hike. They were always in flight except this one that landed on a damp patch of soil alongside a dirt road. Vegetation in the area was dominated by chaparral species.

Coordinator notes: Being on the east side of the San Grabriel's, this could be an EARLY record for cinerea, but without seeing that locality or seeing an actual series, and lacking definitive research that shows cinerea occurs that far west in California, it will remain an unsolved mystery.-Ken Davenport
