Sharp-angled Carpet
Euphyia intermediata

Observation date: August 20, 2017

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Moth is being eaten by jagged ambush bug (Phymata sp.) on tall goldenrod (Solidago altissima) flowers. Habitat is an old hay field reverting to native plants. I wonder if this moth species feeds as an adult hence its presence on the flowers.
