Coordinator notes: Correct ID. I saw my first Western Pine Elfin just this past summer, on May 27 at Jacks Gulch Campground, and fell in love with the species. In fact, they're probably my third favorite butterfly species, after only the Indra Swallowtail and Silver-spotted Skipper.
