Observation notes: Mostly flying past in the wind. Photo is of the only one I saw land. Elevation was approx 7,450' near summit of Reyes Peak.

Coordinator notes: California Tortoiseshells were in big numbers between 6000 and 7000' in the southern Sierra one day last week. It looks like we will have them again this spring which is a good thing!-Ken Davenport
