Observation notes: At Seabright State Beach, at the back of the beach about 200 yards from the bay near to the sea cliff. About a year ago, this area was planted with California native plants after pulling out all the ice plant. The butterfly was observed on Coast Buckwheat (Eriogonum latifolium) and CA golden bush (Ericameria ericoides).
