Observation date: September 16, 2018
Submitted by: WINGSaloftinKS
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Not ever seen this type of skipper before. Top of body had a greenish tinge, wings grey and tan and had an almost greyish-pale green-iridescence to them, with three spots on top edge of wings. Other spots were faint. Seemed a tad bigger than most skippers I've seen before, too. Was on the dry grasses about 15' from the rocky/sandy shoreline of the lake, near the marina. Size: Approx. 1.5" wingspan. Weather: Beautiful, warm sunny day.
