Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Discovered on an asphalt driveway crawling over a stick about 2 feet from a terraced garden. At first glance, it resembled a very short, but plump garter snake with a shiny black stripe down the center of its back crawling over the stick. Upon closer inspection, one horn was visible as well as a matrix of dots that made green-yellow vertical stripe marks on its body. It curled up when Photo was taken. When it curled, the prominent large black stripe was hidden.
