Observation notes: Dave Patton and I observed one individual feeding on various flowers and at the top of the pitcher on a pitcher plant (see the second photo) in a wet meadow surrounded by open longleaf pine forest in the Nature Conservancy's Abita Creek Flatwoods Preserve. At one point, the butterfly went completely inside the top of the pitcher for a brief period and then came back out to continue feeding at the opening of the pitcher.
