Observation notes: Light drizzle, humid, about 75 degrees. The caterpillar was not far from an Eastern Phoebe, in a tree I didn't recognize, about 25 feet above a brushpile next to a gravel road through a park maintenance area. Nearby were some wooden buildings, several pickup trucks, oak, maple beech, sycamore, dogwood, redbud, sassafras, locust, hickory, tulip poplar, frazier magnolia, grapevines, poison ivy, wingstem, ironweed, joe pye weed, helianthus, spikenard, wood nettle.
