Plebejus acmon

Observation date: August 07, 2018
Submitted by: Lisahug
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: very tiny. was in dried grasses along beach trail. There were buckwheats in area, but not immediately where the butterfly was photographed. extremely worn. may not be possible to identify, but the fringe that is remaining looks like there are dark "hairs" in it, suggesting it is checkered. found near where I photographed one in 2008, identified by you in 2017 https://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1144007
Status: Resident
Verified by: Ken Davenport
Verified date: August 08, 2018
Coordinator notes: This appears larger than an enoptes, has a thicker aurora and lacks wing checkering= the major flight of enoptes along the coast is still a couple of weeks later-Ken Davenport
