Observation notes: When I arrived at about 10:15, there were quite a few Woodland Skippers around some purple ornamental plants in the garden near the parking lot. One or 2 dark skippers were zipping around, but not landing. When I returned from my hike, a little after 1:00, there weren't any Woodland Skippers around the plants. But there were 4 or 5 dark skippers that were likely Mournings. All my photos are awful. This photo was taken by the pond, about a mile from the parking. lot.
