Observation notes: Time: ~10:15 p.m. Habitat: Front porch, with the closest nearby vegetation being a honeysuckle vine. Notes: I saw this moth as I returned home after a night of gathering live moths for my National Moth Week "moth house" event. It was essentially glued to my front porchlight; it would never stray more than a couple inches away. When I got a close look and realized that it was one of my favorite species of moths, I collected it to display at the moth house.
