Observation notes: This insect had attached itself to my kitchen door. It stayed for a long while, so I was able to photograph it from different angles: bottom, side, top. I was unable to see the wings outstretched. Hot, sunny July day. Insect was in shade. Light shines over door at night. Lots of flowers and trees nearby.
