Observation notes: Saw this duskywing on a magenta zinnia near the Common Buckeye I had photographed at a park where there were many butterfly species and other insects in a butterfly bed. Was pretty dark in color with silver-like details on the outer edges of the forewings and a black margin line with tannish-gray fringe. Nearby flowers included tropical milkweed, magenta zinnias, yellow daisies, some ornamental grass, blue and rose salvias, some spirea shrubs, and more. It stayed only a few moments on the flower's center. Weather: Sunny skies, 80 degrees, approx. 40% humidity. Size: Approx. 1.25" wingspan
