Behr's Hairstreak
Satyrium behrii

Observation date: July 15, 2018
Submitted by: Christian.Nunes
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Foraging on yellow flowers (rabbitbrush?) along the edge of sagebrush flats and mixed conifer forests. These flowering shrubs were loaded with fritillaries and small wood-nymphs, along with a smattering of Behr's, W Branded Skippers, Clouded Sulphurs, and Lilac-bordered Coppers.
Status: Resident
Verified by: A_baldini
Verified date: July 25, 2018
Coordinator notes: Correct identification of this lycaenid. I don't believe those are rabbitbrush flowers; they might be snakeweed or another look-alike (though I'm not sure).
Checklist region(s): Moffat County, United States, Colorado
