Observation notes: Found flying about 3-4 feet off the ground, then landed on (what looked like) Dutchmen's Pipe vine that was mostly in the shade in a densely forested area of a nature trail. The butterfly then seemed to rest for a little bit. It's left forewing, left hindwing, and right hind wing were pretty chewed up. Weather: 98 degrees, 40% humidity, extremely hot with sunny skies and a few clouds. Size: Approx. 2.5-2.75" wingspan
