Date notes: I found this HUGE moth in my driveway while taking my pup on his morning stroll. I was absolutely awestruck by its beauty. I believe it’s a Colombian Silk Moth, but would love a confirmation.

Observation notes: It was a brisk morning and the moth was not moving. I at first thought maybe it was dead, but I believe it was just too cold. When I left for work about 2 hours later, the air temperature had warmed and the moth was gone. I live in Bozeman, MT. I live right in the Bozeman pass, does this particular species often habitat the Rocky Mountains?
