Coordinator notes: This is actually a male Purplish Copper, not a hairstreak. While both coppers and hairstreaks belong to the same family, Lycaenidae, they belong to seperate subfamilies. Coppers make up subfamily Lycaeninae, while most hairstreaks make up subfamily Theclinae. They are often hard to distinguish because members of both subfamilies may or may not have tails. This one (obviously) does not.
