Observation notes: This larva was found on a sage bush in Grasslands National Park, East Block, SK, Canada. There was dead beneath the larva, probably indicating that it was feeding on the safe. The larva was approx 4 cm long, black and bristled, with creamy white crescent moon marks along its lateral line (lengthwise along its body).
