Observation notes: Observed in Banff, Alberta Canada.
It came & sat on a pine board I was working on.
Weather was mainly overcast with occasional light showers.
I was under the overhang of the house offering protection from the light rain.
Temperature ~68F (20C)
This home backs onto the "Wildlife Corridor", a protected area, semi wilderness, on the base of Sulphur Mountain.
The forest is mixed lodgepole pine, aspen... with some grass & bushes at the floor.
The butterfly was at the front of the house where ornamental flowers & Shrubs are grown.
