Observation notes: Very warm day. Saw this butterfly fluttering in the entryway to a vacant building. During my walk I saw 11 all flying fast in a northerly direction. It's my understanding that these are a new generation produced from the September 2017, irruption along the California Coast. It would be interesting to know where they are migrating to.
