Observation notes: Humid, sunny, about 85 degrees, gusty breezes. The butterfly was working through a rather large stand of dogbane. Nearby were honey locust, oak, maple, juniper, sycamore, poison ivy, crown vetch, lespedeza, queen anne's lace, cattails, autumn olive, mixed grasses.
