Coordinator notes: Thanks for the submission! This is actually the larvae of a moth, the Police-Car Moth, whose larvae feed on smaller plants like bluebells (Mertensia sp.). By comparison, the Mourning Cloak's larvae feed on trees such as alder, cottonwood, and willows.
