Observation notes: We set up a moth screen with a mercury vapour light on our property next to the Chase River in a residential area. The area is riparian with many different kinds of trees: Fir, cedar, fruit trees, black cottonwoods, and the garden has many different varieties of flora as well. The day was very sunny and warm (17C). Apologies for photo definition of smaller moths; I don't have the best camera for macro shots. I also found it difficult to take side profile photos of smaller moths because of the distance of the lens from the sheet.
