Observation notes: Found in our garden about a week ago, evening temps at 4 celsius. brought it inside and placed on moist soil, last night it emerged from it's cacoon at 7-8 pm. Placed a piece of wood in a plastic tub, moth did alot of movement until she finally settled on the side of wood. Placed open plastic container outside on the deck about 11 pm. Temp was 8 celsius overnight. Upon emerging took about 45 minutes to expand wings fully. Has not moved from the wood since it settled there last night. Today temp is cloudy and 20 celsius. Found in our garden on the ground beside an empty flower pot and visible. Ground is still quite moist with no vegetation around it.
