Observation notes: Moths spotted on window screen at about 11:00 am EST. Originally they were mating, and therefore connected at ends. After breaking apart the female moth quivered for about 30 seconds before flying away. The male moth remained still after breaking apart for about 5 minutes before finally taking flight. The weather is currently sunny and 78 degrees, with weather set to drop into the low 70's with severed thunderstorms in 5 hours. Located in a rural area in southeast NC, about 7 miles from a beach.
