Observation notes: I heard a rustling sound and found a cocoon with something trying to push out. It was in an unsafe location so I carefully took hold of the cocoon and observed as the moth broke through the papery husk and climbed out onto my hand. It found a suitable place on my camera bag where it hung from and I observed throughout the afternoon as it filled and dried its wings. Soon after dark it went on its merry way. There was a near half-moon. 81'F, dry, light breeze.
