Observation notes: Hill top with others, Red Admiral, Painted Lady, West Coast lady, Funeral duskywing, Anise, Bramble Hairstreak, Gray Hairstreak, Echo Blue, White maybe spring white, also saw Umber and monarch, Gulf frit, Mourning Cloak, Cloudless sulphur lower down!Warm day Very Dry, Nectar of lemonade berry and mustard. light Breeze mid to low seventies mid afternoon! At some angles to the light these do give off a Purple Hew from the mostly black surface! These photo's captured some of the Purple light off hind wing! Today there were two Males chasing each other along the horizon and straight up! Great Stuff to Watch, the Blue topside of wings give dazzling blue Flashes as these males chase other around!
