Observation notes: Was perched on the bark of a Mesquite stump that we use for a birdbath stand, that is sited underneath an Ash Tree in our front garden. On December 23rd, while weeding underneath a Desert Willow Tree less than 10 ft from that Mesquite stump, I accidentally dug up a large pupal case (see last photo)
