Green Skipper
Hesperia viridis

Observation date: July 24, 2017
Submitted by: wallap74
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: None.
Status: Resident
Verified by: mikefisher
Verified date: December 29, 2017
Coordinator notes: I am confident this is a very worn female of the Green Skipper (Hesperia viridis) because the two upper most spots are elongated and these spots on Hesperia pahaska in the eastern portion of its range (nominate or typical pahaska) tend to be squarish and closer together not so elongated and separated. Both species are found in Baca County. Looks like you toured well through Colorado and were heading home somewhere eastward. Hope you'll come back and take some more nice photos like you submitted. Mike
