Observation notes: Wing span at rest approx. 1 inch. Wings open and spread at sides at rest. Several flying in flood plain forest, mostly at about 3 feet from ground, ice and mud on ground. Temperature 32ºF, overcast. Moths appear to rest near base of trees, in leaf litter, and on dead stalks of wood nettle. Have had several killing frosts and snow here, although snow is mostly gone.
