Observation notes: Observed this small Pearl Crescent in the grasses, and then another showed up—seemed to be a lot of mating going on today? The first Pearl Crescent in the first two photos was slightly larger and lighter in color than the other that flew onto the scene. Its wings were also damaged. Approx. Size: 1.25" wingspan; the second Pearl Crescent (male?) was approx. 1" in wingspan (in 3rd photo). Weather: 78 degrees, slight breezes, sunny.
