Callophrys muiri

Observation date: May 04, 2017
Date notes: I have reliable records as to date, but not as to time of day, but BAMONA is demanding both.

Coordinator notes: There could be a problem here if the host are junipers. Paul Opler believes juniper feeders are brown "siva" or gryneus. If Sargent Cypress is the host, then this is a Muir's Hairstreak for sure. Don't worry about time of day unless a species you are submitting has a brief flight time in early morning or late afternoons, or a special time to hilltop-Ken Davenport Added note: The submitter states this hairstreak was associated with Sargent Cypress so this would be muiri and not a brown Callophrys siva/gryneus.-Ken Davenport
