Coordinator notes: This is the Coronis Fritillary. If you compare photos in Part 2 you should be able to see differences between the two and Aphrodite. In the field you can separate aphrodite from the other species when caught by looking at the color of the eyes when alive. The eyes of aphrodite are brown (as they are on nokomis and idalia - also diana in the East) while the other species have grayish-blue eyes. Mike
