Observation notes: Observed this Painted Lady (and many other Painted Ladies and other species of butterflies and flying insects) on this White Arrow Leaf Aster, growing everywhere in prairie fields in Southwestern Lawrence. More cautious than Painted Ladies I see at the garden center I work at. Size: Approx. 1.5" (from belly to top of wingtip) Weather: Approx. 77 degrees, nice day
