Observation notes: On my walk in the creek, this huge caterpillar was floating down, trying with all it's might to grab a hold of anything. So, I helped it out. It was about 6 inches long and about 3/4 to 1/2 inch in thickness. The picture doesn't show it's true color. It was a bright orange red with yellow spikes, and gold spots.
