Observation notes: Our yard was full of Painted Lady butterflies! I don't know whether they were migrating, or from the thistle patch in our neighbor's yard, but they sure loved our Cosmos! They were most active when the sun was shining (no cloud). I have been seeing quite a few around since then, but not as many.
