Observation notes: A pair of Common Checkered-Skippers was observed interacting and doing a swirling "air dance" together. These butterflies moved quickly and did not stay perched for very long, so it was challenging to get good images of them. They landed several times and then found each other again when they took back to air.
One of the butterflies landed long enough several times to enable me to get a few pictures.

Coordinator notes: Correct identification. It sounds like they were potentially getting ready to mate, assuming one was male and the other was female.
